Walk the Walk Week Prayer Service
If you were unable to attend last week's ecumenical prayer service at Notre Dame - or if you'd like to see it again - here is the video. The Voice of Faith choir was outstanding and Bishop Curry was inspiring. His sermon begins at 15:45 (and concludes at 54:00, so get comfortable :) Thank you so much to Fr. John Jenkins, the ministry team at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and the University of Notre Dame for this wonderful event.
Upon Further Review
I wrote last week about a man who had come to us for prayer and support as his child is being treated for leukemia. Publication of that prayer need led to a conversation between one of our parishioners and someone from another congregation, through which it came to light that, while this man has need of prayer and healing, it is not for the reason he presented to us. Please keep this whole situation in your prayers.
Directory Project
The Cathedral's last photo directory was published in 2017, just in time for our sesquicentennial celebration. Given all that has happened between then and now, that feels like forever ago. It's time for a new directory. Before we get to that, though, we need to update our database to make sure that everyone who should be in the directory is included. To do that, we need to gather some information. Our Parish Administrator, Joe Anand-Obleton, has been tasked with drawing up the first steps in this process. Over the next few months we will be asking everyone who attends the Cathedral to review the information we have - or don't have, as the case may be - so that we are beginning the directory process with correct information. Stay tuned!
This Sunday
The readings appointed for this Sunday offer an embarrassment of homiletical riches. You'll want to come if for no other reason than to see how in the world the preacher figures out what to say.
Blessings,
Brian

Join us for a joint Lenten Book study with St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mishawaka on Silence by Shusaku Endo. Here is a preview of the book:
'Seventeenth-century Japan: Two Portuguese Jesuit priests travel to a country hostile to their religion, where feudal lords force the faithful to publicly renounce their beliefs. Eventually captured and forced to watch their Japanese Christian brothers lay down their lives for their faith, the priests bear witness to unimaginable cruelties that test their own beliefs. Shusaku Endo is one of the most celebrated and well-known Japanese fiction writers of the twentieth century, and Silence is widely considered to be his great masterpiece.'
