The Reverend Deacon Anne Wietstock

The Reverend Deacon Anne Wietstock was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons in December 2012 and assigned to the Cathedral of St. James. She has also served our Diocese as Missioner for Deacons and now assists and supports the current Missioner for Deacons, the Reverend Deacon Clay Berkley. 

Deacon Anne’s formal education is in nursing. She is a Registered Nurse with experience in Maternal-Child Health and Pediatrics School Nursing through Private Duty and Occupational Health. She completed Parish Nurse training before beginning her Postulancy and Formation through the Northern Indiana School of Theology (now the Episcopal School for Faith & Ministry).

Deacon Anne is married to Dr. Steven Wietstock, PhD, a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame and the Director of Music and Organist here at the Cathedral of St. James. Deacon Anne enjoys visiting with people, reading, listening to classical music, quilting, walking, and traveling.
